Poder Joven owns and manages a recycling center located in the neighborhood of Barrio Triste. We buy and sell the materials that result from the industrial activity that takes place in the neighborhood.

The recycling center has become one of the sources of financing the social program of the association. It promotes environmental awareness and provides some of the parents of the children assisted by our program with job opportunities. All the profit obtained from this commercial activity is fully invested in the programs. We have great expectations to continue expanding this commercial activity to other sector of the city, produce more revenues and assist more children in need. Currently we have agreements with local institutions (like the Pablo Tobón Uribe Hospital) for the purchase of recycling material .
